The 2012-2022 Long Term Plan was adopted by Council on Wednesday, 27 June 2012.

The 10 Year Plan provides an opportunity for the Council to take a long term view of our activities and their impact on the District and on present and future communities.  In particular the plan:

• Describes the Council's community outcomes (Council Outcomes) for the District
• Identifies some of the key challenges facing the Council over the next 10 years.
• Provides an overview of each activity the Council will carry out and the services it will provides for the next 10 years.
• Determines how much the business of the Council will cost, and how it will be funded.

The plan is the Council's primary organisational planning document and is reviewed every three years.  It also forms the Annual Plan for the 2012/2013 financial year.
