Annual Report

An Annual Report is prepared for every financial year.

This document compares the actual activities and actual performance of Council with the intended activities and intended level of performance as set out in the Annual Plan 2008/2009 and the Long Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP) 2006-2016.

The Annual Report was adopted by Council on 30 October 2009.

Provides an overview of achievements for the year and the Council’s financial position. Also details the progress made towards community outcomes and the audit report.

Describes the activities that the Council provided and whether the key performance indicators were achieved. This section also includes a report on whether the projects planned were completed as well as other key highlights for the activity. Actual financial statements versus what was budgeted are also shown.

Presents the actual financial results against what was budgeted for the year. Details the accounting policies and as well as the explanatory notes to the financial statements. Also summarises the performance of Council Controlled Organisations for the year (Milford Community Trust and Southern Rural Fire Authority).
