Milford Community Trust

The Milford Community Trust was established in 2007 by the Southland District Council and the Department of Conservation, with the assistance of Environment Southland.

It was created to provide leadership and governance for the Milford community in Milford Sound Piopiotahi.

The Trust is governed by a board of seven trustees, from both the community and stakeholder groups. It is chaired by Jane Taylor, a lawyer from Queenstown.

The trustees (and who they represent) are:

Paul Phelan (Community appointee)
John Robson (Community appointee)
Mike Schuck (Community appointee)
Andrew Welsh (Community appointee)
Allan Cosgrove (Milford Community Association)
Diane Ridley (Southland District Council)

The Trust meeting dates for 2009 are: September 18 (Real Journeys Events Centre, Te Anau).
