Te Anau Basin Water Supply
The Te Anau Basin rural water supply is made up of seven individual schemes – Kakapo, Ramparts, Takitimu, Mount York, Homestead, Princhester and Duncraigen. The schemes are governed as one by a committee made up of a representative from each scheme and two Landcorp representatives. The committee is chaired by Keith Thompson (Ramparts) and the members are: Guy Bellerby (Takitimu), Murray Hagen (Mount York), Bill Hunter (Homestead), Graham Johnston (Kakapo), Rex Miller (Princhester) and Graeme Mulligan and Ray Tibbles (both Landcorp). Each scheme has an individual intake, pumphouse and reticulation system and is for stock water supply (not human consumption). Meetings are at: SDC Office, Te Anau Meetings for 2009: 17 November
