Tuatapere
Tuatapere, home of the best sausage in New Zealand, is on the east bank of the Waiau River and is 87km north-west of Invercargill.
It is on the Southern Scenic Route and is the entrance to Fiordland on the coastal route.
It is also the starting point for the Hump Ridge Track.
