Tuatapere is a lush farming area which sits on the edge of Fiordland’s wilderness.

The town has a population of about 550 people and is located on the Southern Scenic Route, and is a growing tourist stop.

Tuatapere has a rich sawmilling history and is known for its wilderness activities.
