Amendment to Compliance Schedule
An amendment to a compliance schedule is required when one of the specified systems has been changed, this can be an addition of extra sensors, additional systems, or removal of some aspect of the system.
Council and a building owner can agree to amend a compliance schedule at any time.
An amendment may be initiated:
- by the owner for any reason
- by the owner’s IQP (Independently Qualified Person) to ensure the specified systems will perform to the performance standards for those systems
- by Council to ensure the specified systems will perform to the performance standards for those systems.
You will need to supply a Form 11 [PDF, 93 KB] in order for Council to amend your compliance schedule
A compliance schedule may also need to be amended as a result of building work that will affect a specified system – this will be managed through the building consent process so a Form 11 is not required.
The Building Act sets out procedures to follow for each case.
