COVID-19 level 2 restrictions to services

There will be a staged approach to opening our libraries:

  • Te Anau library will be open to the public under level 2 restrictions on Monday, 18 May from 10am-4pm, Monday-Friday
  • Winton library will be open to the public under level 2 restrictions on Wednesday, 20 May from 10am-4pm, Monday-Friday
  • Riverton library - open to the public under level 2 restrictions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 4pm
  • Otautau library -  open to the public under level 2 restrictions on Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 4pm
  • Stewart Island library - open to the public under level 2 restrictions from 8.30am to 12 midday, Monday to Friday and from 2pm to 4pm on Wednesdays
  • Lumsden library - open to the public under level 2 restrictions from 10am to 4pm, Fridays.

There will be changes and some restricitions to meet the level 2 guidelines: 

  • contact tracing
  • hand sanitiser
  • physical distancing
  • you will not be able to browse the collection
  • public computers are not avaialble.

Access to services will include call and collect and home delivery for all sites and the mobile bookbus will be deployed to support home delivery. Public wifi will be available at all sites.
