Databases and online tutorials

Southland District Library membership gives you free access to a range of online services, including a collection of databases and online tutorials. All you’ll need to get started are your library card and an internet connection.

The ComputerSchool is an online computer and technology-based training centre. It provides one of the largest, most diverse and user-friendly technology training directories available. The engaging and detailed tutorials cover virtually all of today’s most commonly used computer programs, apps and devices. Simply select the modules or programs you are most interested in learning about and start exploring.

Who Else Writes Like…? is a fantastic online resource designed to introduce adult readers to novelists whose work is unfamiliar to them. It helps answer the perennial question “I’ve read all the books by this author, who else writes like that?”
