Local State of Transition to Recovery declared for Bluecliffs erosion

Southland District Council Mayor Rob Scott has moved the response to the erosion at Bluecliffs to the next step, signing a Transition to Recovery declaration.

Good news!

Repairs to the water main pipe under the Riverton bridge have been completed and rigorous testing has been carried out over the past week to confirm that there are no leaks. The pipe has passed with flying colours. You should start to see the scaffolding being removed tomorrow - Friday 11 August.
